I thought that this was a really good video that explains, in basic terms, what is going on in the brain of an ADHD child. I was fascinated to learn that the brain cortex is actually smaller than the vast majority of people! It also mentions that some studies have shown a dopamine deficiency, which is something I've been reading about lately, and will touch on in a future post.
